True links course in South East Asia by the legendary Great White Shark, Greg Norman.
Golf Course Description
BRG Da Nang Golf Resort (Danang Golf Club) was designed by the legendary Great White Shark, Greg Norman. This course had received many awards since its grand opening in 2010. The Dunes Course is built on the sandy loam soil land of Danang Beach which makes it a true links-style golf course. The location of the golf course is in the area where history is revered as much as golf. The BRG Danang Golf Resort is located directly on the beach that the American’s used for their first landing during the Vietnam war in the 1960’s. There are still some remaining bunkers from the wall on some holes on the course.
This Danang golf course is a unique golf experience that every golfers will enjoy. Fairways are wide and there is restrained use of water and no out-of-bounds by its links-style characteristic. Sculpted bunkering, shaped big putting greens with smooth edges, and large natural waste areas have been cut directly from the surrounding sand dunes.
More so than other areas of Danang, the wind can play be a major factor on this course. For example, the signature hole, par-3 16th hole, is back-dropped by the Vietnam East Sea and often plays into a strong headwind, making club selection very tricky. The wind when combined with the firm and fast greens, can toughen up the course considerably. Although the condition can be difficult but it is a truly enjoyable track for every golfers.
The golf course offers first class standards and service. Food offerings are some of Vietnam’s best dishes and the view on the rooftop lounge overlooking Vietnam sunset makes for an excellent way to reminisce about your round and plan your next Vietnam golf outing.
